The great liqueur... from the smallest of citrus fruits!

Our distillery has forged a solid reputation for excellence, because it works rigorously and with the greatest respect for tradition to extract and sublimate the quintessence of fresh, untreated noble fruits. This is, of course, still the case for Biercée Kumquat liqueur.

The kumquats used here come from the orchards of "La Finca Rio Jara" in southern Andalusia. The kumquats arrive at our workshops free of all foreign substances. They go from the tree to the maceration vat. From there, to the Holstein copper stills, and then to the bottle.

The kumquat is the world's smallest citrus fruit, with an oval shape of 2 to 4 cm. Imported to Europe from the Far East over a century ago, it is entirely edible. Its name comes from Cantonese and means "golden orange". From the Latin name of its variety, "Fortunella", and according to Chinese tradition, it brings prosperity and good fortune to those lucky enough to receive it as a gift.

Biercée Kumquat contains no synthetic flavours or colorants, not even natural ones. Its contemporary, elegant bottle showcases its crystalline transparency. Its flavor is subtle and delicate, and its sugar content is reduced.

Tasting

Pure: enjoy fresh from the fridge or on the rocks, as an aperitif or after a meal.

Mixed: its delicacy can also be enjoyed as a long drink. 4cl to 6cl of Biercée Kumquat liqueur simply extended with premium tonic or soda.

Shall we?

In cocktails: right up there with the times, Biercée Kumquat delights the taste buds of those who love simple or more sophisticated cocktails. Discover a few recipes in the "cocktails" section of this site.

Conservation

Store closed bottle away from light. To ensure that Biercée Kumquat is always ready to serve at the ideal temperature, keep refrigerated.

The little extra:

On the plate: it adds a touch of sweet and sour originality to vinaigrettes, for example. Gourmets also love the liveliness and refinement it brings to starters and white meat, poultry and fish dishes. It also works wonders in desserts.
